Her Excellency Ms. Lara Mohammad Al-Khatib was appointed Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners at the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC)."
Ms. Al-Khatib holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of Jordan, and a Master’s degree in International Business Law. She possesses extensive consulting experience in legal and regulatory affairs, government relations, and has demonstrated high competence and specialized expertise in developing policies and strategies, fostering public-private sector collaboration, and providing regulatory consulting in the telecommunications sector.
Previously, Ms. Al-Khatib served as the Chief Executive Officer for Legal, Regulatory, and Government Affairs at Umniah Mobile Company, and was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Jordanian Student Support Fund at the Ministry of Education.
In addition to her professional career, Ms. Al-Khatib is committed to the economic and political empowerment of Jordanian women, through her participation on the boards of several profit and non-profit organizations. She is currently a member of "Jordanian National Forum for Woman” and serves on the Board of Directors of “Curious Kids,” affiliated with "Save the Children".
